Can you ensure the selection of sustainable materials in new products? Then you might be our new Material Compliance Specialist, contributing to the fulfillment of our mission to improve the climate for "people, planet & partners" through energy-efficient products.

We are looking to strengthen the QHSE team with an enthusiastic colleague who is passionate about giving the climate and environment a helping hand. The choice of sustainable materials and in particular the dissemination of detailed information about materials in our products is strategically important to us. Our products are used in constructions, and legislation continuously demands that we provide data on products and materials.

Lately, BITZER Electronics has acquired OJ Electronics, reinforcing our position as a leading player in the market. For the time being, this position is physically placed at OJ (Stenager), but you will be working across both organizations having colleagues at both Stenager and Kærvej. Physical presence at the premises is required in this position.



You will be responsible for:




  • Driving collaboration with R&D on developing methods to reduce environmental impact and CO2 emissions throughout the product's lifecycle.

  • Interpreting new legislation on material compliance and translating it into effective internal procedures.

  • Establishing and maintaining systems for necessary documentation of sustainability information.

  • Creating material and environmental declarations, such as Environmental Product Declarations and Digital Product Passport.

  • Keeping updated on applicable laws and regulations regarding specific product types, such as batteries and packaging.

  • Keeping up with internationally applicable rules for chemicals in electronic products (RoHS, REACH, SVHC, SCIP, PFAS, TSCA, etc.).

  • Reporting in the SCIP database.



We envision that you have the following competencies:




  • Bachelor's degree in fields like chemical engineering, environmental science, sustainability, or production organization.

  • Education or experience in interpreting international laws and regulations.

  • Familiarity with SiliconExpert or other component databases.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating ISO-certified management systems or experience with life cycle assessments or due diligence in the supply chain.

  • Can work systematically and persistently in solving tasks.

  • Passionate about seeking and acquiring knowledge about our business processes.

  • Fluent communication in both Danish and English, both written and spoken.
