QA & Testing Manager

In this role, you will lead our QA & testing department, consisting of more than 12 skilled test engineers and technicians working across OJ’s product portfolio. You will combine people leadership, test strategy, process development, and technical insight while helping the organization continue evolving its testing capabilities across both physical products and software systems.

You will play a central role in shaping how testing is performed at OJ going forward – including greater use of test automation, AI-supported tools, and modern development practices. As part of OJ’s broader R&D leadership team, you will help strengthen development quality while contributing to an organization where ideas quickly become action.

Your role

As QA & testing manager, you’ll be responsible for the daily leadership and continued development of OJ’s QA & testing department.

Your specific duties will include:

• Leading and developing OJ’s QA & testing team
• Supporting employee development and long-term competence building
• Developing and implementing testing strategies across hardware, embedded software, and cloud-based solutions
• Driving increased use of test automation, AI-supported tools, and modern testing methods
• Participating in OJ’s R&D leadership team alongside fellow department leaders
• Collaborating with external development partners and suppliers
• Allocating testing resources and following up on priorities and activities
• Contributing to continuous improvement of development and validation processes

Must-have qualifications

• Technical degree in electronics, software engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Leadership experience, preferably within testing, quality assurance, or product development
• Experience testing embedded systems and/or cloud-based software solutions
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with test automation
• Experience implementing and managing complete test processes, from planning through execution and reporting
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience with embedded software development or testing environments
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python
• Danish language skills are a strong plus
• Interest in AI-supported development and testing methods
• Ability to apply AI tools responsibly within engineering and quality processes
• Experience leading technical specialists and cross-functional teams

Please note that this position is based in Sønderborg, Denmark, and requires your physical presence on site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
