OJ Electronics, a market-leading producer of underfloor heating solutions and HVAC drives and controllers, is looking for an UX designer to join our talented R&D department in Sønderborg.
Our R&D department is energetic and diverse, with employees from many countries and ranging from recent graduates to highly seasoned experts. As a key member of the R&D team, you’ll work with floor-heating thermostats, controllers for HVAC systems, and various HVAC drives.
Working physically from our headquarters in Sønderborg, Denmark, you’ll keep busy with many solution types, including mobile applications, website interfaces, software user interfaces for embedded products, physical product design and packaging.
Your role
At OJ, you’ll be expected to:
- Design user experience and user interfaces for different products and applications
- Define and formulate UI/UX-related requirements
- Conduct user research and perform competitor analyses
- Create design wireframing and prototyping
- Create visual and interaction designs
- Conduct usability testing
- Document design and handover to the development team
Our expectations
When reviewing your application, we will look for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interaction, UX design or human-computer interaction, or an AP degree in multimedia design or similar
- Skills in UX and UI design for both software applications and physical products e.g., mobile applications, web applications, different types of embedded displays (LED, Segment, TFT)
- Professional experience preferred, although new graduates will also be considered
- Familiarity with Adobe XD, Figma and Zeplin preferred
- Experience designing physical products is an advantage
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken – knowledge of Danish is a big plus
- An outgoing personality and good communicator who can work independently and collaborate easily with a wide range of colleagues
