Even More Options
This latest update is all about giving you and your customers more options – whether during fault-finding and remediation or in connection with retrofitting older systems. Let’s look at these two improvements before moving on to some smaller changes that can also make a pretty big difference.

“Continue to Run”
Previously, if a DRHX experienced a fault – say it lost communication with the main controller – it would normally shut down automatically. With the new update, a “Continue to run” option enables the drive to continue running until it is no longer able to. This can protect other components in the system from freezing or other issues that might occur during an unplanned shutdown – buying time for faultfinding and remedial action before any damage is done.
“The rotor guard now tracks both rotor inertia and torque fluctuation, which helps minimize false triggers to reduce downtime and boost reliability. To enable smoother performance, the system now operates more flexibly under varying conditions.”
Lasse Larsen, Product Manager Rotor Drives, OJ Electronics
Analog Inputs
The DRHX is the obvious choice for new rotary heat exchanger systems, but it can also improve performance and efficiency in existing heat exchangers. To make it easier to upgrade older systems, the updated DRHX now provides new configuration options and works with a wider range of analog inputs. This gives your customers more options and it gives you new opportunities for improving installed heat exchangers with high-efficiency DRHX drives.
