The LED can indicate four different GFCI\/EGFPD states.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span onclick=\"tl.seek('step1').play();\" class=\"step1\"><var>1.<\/var> <strong>Normal state:<\/strong> The red LED is off \u2013 everything works as intended<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span onclick=\"tl.seek('step2').play();\" class=\"step2\"><var>2.<\/var> <strong>Tripped state:<\/strong> The red LED is flashing slowly (Once every two seconds)<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"desc\"><span onclick=\"tl.seek('step2').play();\" class=\"step2 solution\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Follow the instructions on the thermostat.<\/p><\/span><\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span onclick=\"tl.seek('step3').play();\" class=\"step3\"><var>3.<\/var> <strong>Error state:<\/strong> The red LED is flashing rapidly (five flashes every second)<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"desc\"><span onclick=\"tl.seek('step3').play();\" class=\"step3 solution\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Turn OFF power to the thermostat at the electrical panel. Then turn back ON.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If the problem still persists, contact your local electrician\/installer \u2013 either the wiring of the thermostat is wrong or the GFCI base unit is defective.<\/p><\/span><\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span onclick=\"tl.seek('step4').play();\" class=\"step4\"><var>4.<\/var> <strong>Stop state:<\/strong> The red LED is constantly on.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"desc\"><span onclick=\"tl.seek('step4').play();\" class=\"step4 solution\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>An internal fault has occured. Turn OFF power to the thermostat at the electrical panel.
